One day I lost a person that was very important to me. For a long time, I couldn't recover from the loss and my life began to collapse. That's why I tried my best to forget it. Forgetting was hard, but it began to work as time went by. Being able to forget, over time, seems to have saved me. I came to know what could hurt me and how to protect myself.

However, for some reason, forgetting saddens me. The idea of a "Memory Collector" was born from the experience.

Ironically, as filmmaker, whenever I struggle with coming up with new ideas and new emotions, I find out how dry I am now after the whole layers of experiences.

What is the meaning of life to me? Like Eda, only after we accept our own bad memories, which we wanted to erase a long time ago, are we able to grow up. The essence of life is not built only on good memories but also with layers of bad memories. Sometimes we need a Memory Collector, but we have to part with him in the end and face our own memories.

I still dream of a Memory Collector who can visit and comfort a young girl who is suffering from her loss somewhere else. He is not going to stop his journey.
