Who is Soo?

Soo Jin Hwang was born and grew up in South Korea. She graduated with a BA in Aesthetics from Seoul National University and worked for several companies such as Daewoo and LG CNS. She came to the US in the Fall of 2003 to attend Florida State University Film School(MFA). She has made four short films while at school. She is moving to LA in early January.

Her shorts, 'Blue Tea', 'Memory Collector' and her thesis 'Tycho's Nova'
have a unique personal voice with her own consistent poetic visual style.
Her work asks questions about the meaning of life just as she, herself always keeps searching for her own answers in a subtle but strong way.
